Wool Connextions was formed as an industry service provider, acting as a trusted partner and link between the export sector, Wool Merchants and Brokering companies. Since its inception in 2003, the company has grown rapidly under the stewardship of Greg Tibbs a highly regarded wool professional whose unmatched expertise in international wool trading has given the export trade confidence to buy wool through this system.

In 2024, Mark Hunter joined Greg as a director and shareholder, bringing over 25 years of wool industry knowledge and experience. Together, Mark and Greg’s passion for the industry ensures the continued growth of this trusted online sales platform.

Allan and Janet Udy, Directors of Golden Micro Solutions Ltd, have been at the forefront of designing and developing computer software solutions for the New Zealand Wool Indusrty since the early 1990s.

The New Zealand Wool Testing Authority Ltd (NZWTA) is a leading wool testing company, specialising in the independent and impartial sampling, testing, and quality certification of New Zealand apparel and interior textile wools.

NZWTA Ltd offers a comprehensive range of wool testing services tailored to the wool industry. These services are available for individual animals (fleece tests), greasy wool, and scoured wool ready for processing.

SGS Wool Testing Services has been operating in New Zealand as an independent wool quality certification body for over 40 years, providing comprehensive sampling and testing services to wool growers, brokers, buyers/exporters, mills, garment makers, and consumers.

Our testing is conducted in accordance with the required standards and regulations of the International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO). The IWTO was established to defend the interests of the wool industry, encompassing wool growers, traders, processors, spinners, and weavers. The organisation's members include national representatives from its 24 member countries, with the National Council of New Zealand Wool Interests serving as the representative body in New Zealand.

The majority of our testing is carried out at our Wellington laboratory, with condition tests also performed at our six branch offices located across New Zealand's major raw wool sales and scouring centres.
